The Instincts is a Berlin-based international trio comprised of Macedonian guitarist Georgi Sareski, German drummer Boris Bell, and Finnish bassist Antti Virtaranta. A formation of three exceptional musicians coming from different backgrounds and generations, brought together by kindred sensibility and exploratory spirit. The result is their newly recorded material – music unseen, a fitting title for this truly one of a kind musical endeavor. With respect towards the jazz tradition, this trio often strays far from it, combining their strong characteristic styles through collective interaction, as they seamlessly move between uniquely knitted original compositions and very intuitive, continuously grooving improvisations. The Instincts is a trio like no other, playing what might be some of the most original music of today.
